During the heyday of the American railroad, Genesee Junction was the name given to a small hamlet, and the railroad switching yards located therein, on the western bank of the Genesee River. Over a century later, Genesee Junction is a celebration of American roots music, including blues, roots rock, jam bands, and country.
Featuring veteran musicians from regional bands including The Dirty Bourbon Blues Band, Terrapin Society, Significant Other, Driftwood Sailors, and Heatseeker, the group has over 80 years of combined performance experience. Genesee Junction bridges the past and the present, playing a mix of original music and cover songs that pay tribute to classic artists but inject a fresh energy. Like a knife viewed under water, this band has blurred the edges of the blues, but still has a sharp edge that can cut when you least expect it!
